Terms of Service

Last updated: October 31, 2026 · Effective: [EFFECTIVE DATE]

These terms are an agreement between you (and the company you use Drawline for) and [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME] (“Drawline”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Drawline, you agree to them. If you use Drawline for a company, you confirm you can agree on its behalf.

1. A beta service, provided as-is

Drawline is in beta. It's still being built, features may change or be removed, and it may have bugs or interruptions. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Keep your own copies of invoices and records you need.

2. You're responsible for your billing

  • The accuracy of the data you enter: contract values, schedules of values, progress, change orders and payments.
  • Every invoice you issue or send through Drawline. Review each one before you issue it.
  • Complying with your contracts and subcontracts, Ontario's Construction Act and tax law, including holdback and HST.
  • Having the right to enter other people's contact details and to send them emails through Drawline.

3. Estimates, not advice

Drawline's holdback dates, release windows, deadlines and calculations are estimates based on general rules. They are not legal, tax or accounting advice and may not reflect your contract or your situation. Confirm important dates and amounts with your contract, a construction lawyer or your accountant.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Drawline for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading, including false invoices.
  • Send spam, or email people you don't have a business relationship with.
  • Upload malware or content you don't have the right to share.
  • Try to access other companies' data, probe or break our security, or overload the service.
  • Resell or copy the service, or share your account with people outside your company.

5. Your data

You own your data: the projects, invoices, documents and other content you put into Drawline. You give us a limited licence to host, copy, process and transmit it only as needed to operate, secure and support the service for you (for example, to generate a PDF or send an email you request). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

6. Pricing and payment

Free during beta. There is no charge to use Drawline while it's in beta. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you in advance and update this section; you'll never be charged without agreeing first.

7. Ending your account

You can stop using Drawline and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing [CONTACT EMAIL]. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or others at risk, or as the law requires, and we may end the beta. Where reasonable, we'll give notice and a chance to export your data first.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Drawline is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data, holdback or payments, arising from your use of the service, including errors in calculations, dates or invoices. Our total liability for any claim relating to Drawline is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim (which is $0 during the free beta) or $100, whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Ontario.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is meaningful, we'll update the date above and ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in. If you don't agree, you can stop using Drawline.
